[She shouldn't have made that joke but...yeesh. She had to deal with it somehow. Though it was kind of cute, kind of creepy how he got all hot and bothered about blood drinking, she figured she'd be a little like that over some food too.
Especially after these past few months.]
No. I made my decision early. It's still on the ninth.
[He's not thinking of celebrating it or something is he...or that she decided it at the last second? Nngh.]
no subject
He gave her a smile then, though he wondered why it was that she didn't wait to tell him. That was fine though, it just meant that he would know ahead of time when her birthday was.]
Was there anything you'd like to do for it? [As he asked, he drew in nearer, a hand going to brush the hair from her neck. He could choose another place to bite her, but it seemed more appropriate there.]
no subject
[She knew it was for the bite, it was just food but...she felt herself blushing nonetheless. His fault, she thought, that her heart was starting to beat a little too fast.
That was okay though. It was fine. Maybe this wouldn't happen every time.]
I had a few ideas. Make some origami flowers. Look at the stars at night.
That's it.
no subject
You like flowers...?
[He figured he could work with that. He couldn't ask anyone for anything, but... he'd figure it out.]
no subject
I do. They're colourful.
[She'd been so disappointed when she saw the park was all dead. But that would change. Somehow.]
no subject
Right now, he wasn't going to answer but to give a little 'Mmmhh' in agreement or understanding for the moment, his lips parting as he slid his tongue out from between them to lick at her skin before he finally dug his fangs into her flesh, jaws closing as he began to suck her blood.]
no subject
She gasped when he bit down, her fingers digging into his back. It hurt, and she knew it would. But she tried to keep breathing, calm, slow. Keep her body relaxed. If she accidentally struggled, she might excite the predator in him too much.
She knew that much, even if she wasn't sure when to pull him off. If she could.]
no subject
It was a lovely taste though, and Dio lingered, his tongue lapping at her languidly even once he finally pulled his mouth from her neck.
He started to lick at his lips when he finally sat back.]
Mmhh... Thank you, that was lovely.
no subject
[ Even if she did feel light headed, it would pass. The swipe of his tongue had made her shiver, and sag a little in the aftermath.]
You got a little...here, I'll get it.
[Dribbled a bit of blood Dio. But she swiped it off of his chin and offered her bloodied fingertips
Didn't want it to go to waste and all.]
no subject
He gave a laugh at that, sitting back again and feeling somewhat bashful all of the sudden.]
Right. So uh... we don't have to do that often, if you don't like it. Mikado... really likes to keep me fed.
no subject
I don't dislike it. But I don't want to become anaemic either.
[She smiles back at him, her hands going back to her lap.]
Mikado...doesn't run the same risk?
[Just to make certain. She'd hate for him to get complications due to a...fetish?]
no subject
Uh, not really, no.
He has been here for some time and has been able to... use his belief to make it so that his blood will replenish itself.
[That could not possibly be taken the wrong way. He thinks. He really isn't certain.]
And I keep him distracted in return, so that he won't have issues with that. It's only fair, really. [And it's fun! Dinner and some entertainment.]
no subject
[Is this awkward? It's a little awkward.]
no subject
Mmmmhh... Well. Mikado and I have both been here for over a year, and we've known each other the whole time.
I like to think of it as looking out for each other. As you'll notice, some of us aren't able to fit in, socially, and us misfits need to stick together.
Even if it's hard to, sometimes.
no subject
[Her voice is wry. It seems that while food with benefits isn't wrong, it's more complicated then that. Considering how this place is, how the people are, she can get it.]
no subject
[His smile has faded by now, Dio's brows knitting in concern.]
Every one of us has lost our homes, lovers, families. Our whole lives. We all arrive, grieving. Tensions run high. Things are said or done in desperation, in attempts to understand and to control our environment, and it often backfires spectacularly.
We've only been here a year. We still don't know our environment or what can be done with it. Some people desperately cling to the past, and some want to discard it completely.
The people who act like they're in charge are biased and those not in their circles are left out to dry.
Drama is more normal than downtime.
no subject
[Her own smile had faded, and she leaned forward.]
None of you. I wouldn't be surprised if there were people angry at me because of some of the things I said.
But I...do wish, we could all talk to each other calmly, rationally. But I might be asking for too much. Especially when I can get pretty heated up, myself.
no subject
I think we're a little way off from that, still.
There is still so much to fix, so much that... separates us. Makes others feel lesser or greater than another person. Though we've all lost much, there are obviously others who live in more comfort and some who have very little.
It's all very unequal, and there will be clashes for the foreseeable future.
no subject
[She raises her eyebrows.]
We are unequal here. And some of us have a better grip on their temper then others. Which may make it worse.
Even if they feel it's justified.
Even if they just kept it to a punch out match when they could have ripped off they other person's head clean off.
[There's your scolding. She sighed.]
Punching maniac.
no subject
Hey, sometimes a fist-fight is best! It at least gets all of your grievances out in the open and allows you to burn off some steam.
Feels good! Like exercise! Exercise that can make you bleed!
[That wasn't weird!]
no subject
And flick him between the eyes.]
no subject
[Ok, ok! He was going to stop his grinning now to pout a little.]
Nnnhh... yeah, yeah. I know. I made that fighting thing because I just... I really enjoy it. Back when I was a boy, it was how we passed the time. [Him and the other kids in London? Him and Jonathan? Yes.]
And I'm trying to get control of my temper but... I just get so fucking angry sometimes.
no subject
And I admit, I...can't do that. I can't just try to punch someone and feel better. If I fight, I go for the kill.
[She wrinkles her nose.]
That's how I was trained. Anyway. Would you do the same thing over again?
no subject
[He was mostly teasing. Jonathan WAS a giant teddy bear. He was just also a teddy bear who would stand up and fight if need be. And he was good at it.]
I don't know. I could lie and say it'll never happen again, but truth be told, I don't have that kind of a hold on my temper yet. It's something I'm trying to work on, but I can't guarantee I won't fail.
I can say that I will make every attempt not to have a repeat.
no subject
[She's teasing too, mostly. Though that is a cute image.
She does, however, lean forward and peck Dio on the cheek.]
That's all I can ask for. Thank you Dio. For trying. And not lying to me.
