I'm afraid I may have misunderstood something about our agreement, Dio. It came to my attention that you have been telling other vampires my blood is off limits.

Is there anything else I should know, before I make a fool of myself offering what isn't mine to give?

[Whether it is fortunate or unfortunate for Mikado is up to you to decide, as Dio takes this add incredibly uppity and passive-aggressive, but he refrains from commenting on it.

Between this and the way he spoke to him about Henry, he was certainly reforming his opinion on Mikado.]

The deal I have made with you remains the same as it ever was. You are free to do as you please. As it stands, I cannot change the deal without your approval.

However, this deal was made before other vampires 'arrived', and thus they were an unforeseeable situation. Had I known previously, it would have been a simple matter to also ask this of you, but instead it falls to me to make a new deal with each vampire for the sake of peace.

In the end, it is their responsibility, out of courtesy to me, to refuse your offers, and not your responsibility not to offer it, understand?

In that case, I apologize. Communicating through written word is normal where I'm from, and I spent a lot of time doing it. It seemed more polite than asking for your time, but next time I'll know better.

Monty does have a habit of doing that to creatures far above his weak station. I'd like more information than that for next time I feel he needs punished for stupidity.

In any case, I do not make it a habit to gossip about the things that go on between myself and Montague. While I appreciate your interest in punishing him, this is a matter between himself and me.

I have to disagree. Given that he is mine and has a new bad reaction to you, I would like to know what happened. Pets are troublesome like that, and I have what you might call a personal stake in his continued well-being.

If he does indeed belong to you, then I advise you to keep a tighter leash on him in the future, if you are truly invested in his well-being.

I used my power to control others on him, if that is what you so desperately need to know. I suspect he doesn't care much for having his will taken out of his hands and placed in another's. As for what he did to me to warrant it, it is in the past, so long as he allows it to remain so, but I have reason to believe that he and I are not through with each other yet.

I do not wish to further this feud. I would owe you a favor if you would take him off of my hands.

I keep telling myself I'll get him a stake and tie-out, but other things come up.

You know how humans and their wounded pride are, and Monty does have so much pride in him. Ah well. He does have other uses to me. You are most likely right, but I will see what I can do with him. A rolled up newspaper does wonders.

Long have I deliberated on just how to talk to you, and while first I was convinced in my meeting of you in person, I was quickly warned otherwise as it appears that you can control the minds of others. My apologies in making this a letter instead of discussing this with you in person, but I feel that perhaps it is for the best.

You have hurt my friends terribly, sir Brando, and it is not something I can turn a blind eye to, and it is not something I will allow to happen again if I can stop it.

I implore that instead of cruelty, you give kindness. It is far easier to be cruel than kind, but there are only so many of us in this place, and should you keep amassing enemies by doing unsavory and deplorable acts, eventually this will end up only hurting you. I must stress that you do not chose the cowards way of cruelty. You have amazing powers and fearsome powers, I am told, and I believe it would be far wiser to use them to make friends rather than enemies. To right the wrongs you have caused, and mend the hurt you have inflicted upon others.

How do you know if someone's gone for good?

[What the hell is he being forced to read here with his own eyes? You know, Lucina, he was thinking about it. He was trying to be 'good' for Jonathan, and maybe actually somewhat good for Sam, but he'd hate for her to take credit for it.]

Also, it appears that you are incapable of governing yourself properly, as it seems that you are incapable of behaving like a decent, civilized person. That is hardly something to be proud of.

If I want a lecture on morality I'd actually listen to Jonathan when he talks. Someone I have never met hardly has the authority to try and sway my behavior.
