[Good thing this is text, so Pucci can't see Dio's amusement, but he could probably imagine the vampire chuckling at that. It was a little funny, okay?]
I'll be sure to send you a warning in the future. How vexing it must be to have your rebellious spirit running wild.
My powers are as they ever were, though I've noticed some old wounds reopening. I've been able to heal them on my own, though.
[he knows dio well enough to know there is chuckling. to be fair this was hilarious and even he knows it. fucking whitesnake. he can probably hear that dry tone.]
i'm certainly glad you've found some enjoyment in it, old friend i would rather have that 'rebellious spirit' on a leash rather than causing trouble across the city i will pray he at least gets it out of his system
I am glad, though i had assumed if even decapitation could not defeat you old wounds would be trifling
Honestly, with how different you and he are, it makes me wonder sometimes...
[He was not entirely sure what gave a Stand it's personality, after all. Dio knew Enrico was not the sort to be suppressing those desires that Whitesnake exhibited, and he certainly wasn't nearly as insubordinate. This would require some further thought experimentation.
And maybe some actual experimentation.]
It has made me rather hungry, in all honesty. These wounds are the ones I sustained in the sparring match between Giorno and I. They present nothing more than an annoyance, but it's quite ghastly to look at.
[welcome to pucci's hell, he wish he knew. and also kind of doesn't even want to know.]
i wonder myself. given how violent and uncontrollable wes' stand was upon creation perhaps i am lucky he isn't worse.
oh, how did that go? i've seen little of giorno's power and it seems to have quite some potential. a shame i doubt he'd ever come around to subordination for you. far too stubborn and set on his own path.
[Insert long-winded mental tangent Dio has about Enrico's Stand manifesting some kind of self-flagellation here.
Mh, self-flagellation.]
He is quite versatile in combat. He summoned vines which impaled and entangled me, and had turned something into a very large snake to combat me with. He is quick on the draw and determined.
Subordination isn't the only way to serve, thankfully. I have a feeling he will be of use yet.
[That answer takes longer to cone than most from Dio. 'His thoughts about Giorno being his son' is what Enrico was getting at, but that was a complicated matter in his mind.]
I cannot deny striking similarities.
[He was headstrong like him as well, but is that really a confirmation of blood relation?]
My findings are still inconclusive. There is nothing I've found that concretely confirms or denies any blood relation to myself. I do not wish to speculate needlessly. The truth will be revealed in time.

And your thoughts on his lineage? I suppose it is a nagging curiosity now, but even the gold of his Stand has certain similarities. It's fascinating.
