[the fact dio's like 'nah i'll find you an arm we'll work it out' is potentially the funniest thing i've seen in ages and i wish plurk wasn't dead so i could share this. however we are in bad timeline.
pucci smiles, not at all put off by this offer. what a good friend dio was??]
You did fix my foot, in a rather dramatic fashion. I am sure you could help here. [he'll be experimented on, that'll be a fun bonding activity.] I would appreciate it, Dio. I may still make a post asking, if only for information. It would be good to know if anyone can use their abilities such ways.
[and possibly exploit that. they're assholes.]
Gladly. [even if he wasn't used to dio and his orders pucci is 100% for all this. he shifts, keeping as straight a face at the pain of that as he can manage as he sits up.] I imagine this bloodsoaked place may be a little... irritating, to your sense of smell. Let us depart.
Dio's expression softens further, to one that really only Pucci was ever allowed to see. Something like relief, almost relaxed, a small smile that wasn't actually forced or faked. Yes, this was fine. It was not something he could not fix, and Enrico wasn't going to argue it. Dio didn't often order him around, but this was something he'd have to insist on.
They're so very platonic.]
Not as irritating as you'd hope, though it does make me rather hungry. [Not that it was particularly appetizing, mind you, but the reminder of blood did have him remembering how he must continue healing himself lately. A Pain.]
Can you walk or shall you be carried about like my new bride? [That was a jOKE. MOSTLY. Dio tried to make that obvious with a crooked sort of grin. Really though, he'll carry you if you need him to. Or just want him to. You know.
[extremely platonically pucci very much treasured those looks. they reminded him of better times, visits to cairo and long discussions and the world making sense in a way it never did before. it was a nostalgic sense of peace that helped him remain focused even though he was, believe it or not, yeah in a ton of pain still.]
Does old blood smell less appetizing? [appropriate time for weird questions but. it's pucci. he's constantly curious.
the comment about the bride makes him laugh, getting as fluidly to his feet as he could manage. hey, being carried by dio super platonically wasn't bad.] It would be hard to play the part of the blushing new bride given how often we've already 'known' each other, Biblically speaking. I believe I can walk, though slowly. [he reaches out to steady himself on dio's arm. man, balance was new now huh]
[There was never an inopportune time to ask questions, really. Dio would always encourage Pucci's curiosity, and now was no different.]
Mh, quite. As it dries, the scent changes. Very quickly, it begins to smell stale. [Probably has to do with the way blood reacts to oxygen, not that Dio would know that. He just knew that dried blood didn't particularly make him want to lick it up. No thanks.]
I feel like this would be quite a poor choice of honeymoon as well. I'd love someplace more exotic, if you were to become my bride. [He didn't banter like this with pretty much anyone else, but it got his mind off of the fact that he really wanted to hurt someone because Pucci got hurt, and Enrico always did help him relax.]
Mh, we'll just have to have patience, then. Let me know if you change your mind, you know it will not burden me.
[that's one of the many reasons you were the best, dio. he was endlessly curious, ok.] Ah, that would make sense. Does blood smell different between different people? I believe you've said people have unique scents, does that include their blood?
[he could keep going. unique tastes? does disease change anything? etc etc. so much to learn he never got the chance.]
If you were to get married I imagine such a momentous occasion would require a far more interesting place, yes. [he teases because dio getting married? sadly never found out about iwai. one day.] Certainly not America, though Europe is rather expected.
[pucci nods, trying to be realistic in his limits as well as stubbornly wanting to hold his own. it makes his lips quirk, sometimes he really did feel as young as he was again when they were together. it made him wonder what it would have been like if dio had survived him growing out of being a teen. he grasps dio's arm, using it for balance and to help him hold up some of his weight.] I do. You have always been a generous friend. [i guess that's easy when you have one (1) friend?? congrats] This reminds me, I'm going to move to Maurtia Falls. I do most of my work there regardless, and I would like to be close by for when you begin you campaign.
[This was one of the things Dio truly treasured about Enrico too. His curiosity was never a detriment, and he was one of the few people that Dio would even humor such questions from.]
It's not as easy to discern a person simply from their blood, unless I've been acquainted with it before. It does carry some of a person's natural scent, but it's rather overwhelming as a scent itself. It's easier to tell what blood type they are, and the sugar, oxygen, or alcohol content.
[And he was not going to learn about that marriage for now because Dio was ASHAMED OF IT a little. Only a little, but Enrico did bring up a point- it should have been much more ostentatious, if it were going to happen. He had a feeling outside forces were involved there, though.]
Why not share my home? No one else ever really comes to visit, so you would not be bothered, and it may prove more convenient than travelling back and forth.
