[God, if Sam ever texted him, Dio would tease him mercilessly about his spelling and punctuation. Though he'd tease him mercilessly regardless.

He was only just managing to wake for the night when Sam woke up, but he'd been in Jojo's room. Thankfully, his hearing was very sharp, so he ended up in the doorway to his room, arms over his chest.]

Sam? Should you BE here?

[ Whiiich means Dio's voice comes from behind and makes Sam turn his head with a blink, more confused by the question than where he comes from--even if when he realizes, his expression will get a little awkward. Oh my god were you banging your bro again???? ]

...? It's not too late at night! The sun goes down early now.

[HE'S ADOPTED OK.

But no, he was actually not coming fresh from fucking Jonathan this time. That's just... been where he's been sleeping for the past few weeks or so. Either way, he seems confused to hear that no one told him to stay away. Was everyone just dumb? Probably.]

[ Sam's still gonna assume okay it's Dio. ]

[That's fair. It's very likely that he'd be screwing Jonathan, so Sam wasn't really out of bounds there.

Pfft, even if you totally messed my medicine up?? [ Sam doesn't actually really get how bad...it was jsdgks he's just joking around, offering a ridiculous grin. ]

He didn't return the grin he got from Sam, eyes cast downward. Yeah, okay. Laugh it up, get it over with. He was really worried, you shit can.]

[ ...Oh no that was supposed to be funny )8 Sam sees the way Dio doesn't react the way he expects and quickly flounders, reaching out to gran his hand with both of his. ]

[He goes to squeeze at Sam's hand then, just a little.]

I just fucked up and made you worse.

[ ...AWW, DIO. Sam actually looks surprised for a split-second there, but a blink later and it's gone and Sam's the one squeezing his hand hard. ]

You didn't know! It's okay--really. Mikado said I threw everything up right away... I wasn't hurt or anything.

[Why does the damn kid have to be so earnest? It always makes Dio act like an idiot.]

[ To be fair, he sometimes does that to himself too. ]

I--what??? [ Dear god talk about out of left field... Sam doesn't even know what to do with that declaration, other than stare up at Dio in complete befuddlement. ]

[Ah yes. Here we see the resurgence of Dio saying things that no one can be certain of the seriousness of.]

[ YEAH...and actually if anything Sam would have thought he should be the one asking that of Dio if it'd been a few weeks ago. But like this, now?? After the last two??

Sam sputters at the accusation. ]

[Sam was so flustered! It just made Dio laugh, a large hand slapping down on Sam.]

[Being around him did make the aching void of nothingness inside of him go numb, but Dio wasn't sure why. He assumed it was the sex.]

And what of Jonathan? What I have with him is unique, as is what I have with you.

Sam jumps under the clap of the other's hand, looking more and more confused by the second. ]

[Dio's turn to be confused now. He tilts his head to a side, but gives Sam's shoulder a squeeze.]

I guess. But what does that have to do with anything? I can enjoy sex and companionship from Jonathan and you as well. Having one does not diminish the other.

Wait, so....are you saying you wanna date me, or no?

[Ugh! Why did he have to put it that way?! Dio doesn't date. I mean he COULD, but he doesn't.]

Perhaps I would like to court you. Hmph!

You can't date someone who's already dating someone else though! [ Come on Dio HOW MUCH DOES HE HAVE TO TEACH YOU. ]

Of course you can!

And besides, I already told Mikado I'd have you, but that I wouldn't take you from him to do it. He seemed to be alright with that.

Yeah, he said it was fine. [Alright so maybe he said it was Sam's choice, but he didn't exactly object when Dio straight up told him that he wanted to collect the both of them.]
