You have a nice guy who actually cares about you and is willing to go out on a limb to be your friend, and you're rejecting him.

Why should you care whether or not we're friends. You're getting what you want, as is he.

You're rejecting the nicest person in our whole town, and that makes you feel validated somehow?

I care because you're my friend, he's my boyfriend, and you're both obviously unhappy over it.

I do not need your feigned concern, and Sam has other friends.

That's not really how friendship works. People don't just replace each other.

Plus I went to a lot of trouble fighting for the right to see you and keep you from starving to death. It'd be annoying as hell to lose you now.
